Near where Gravel Creek flows into the Matanuska, these cool erosion patterns were formed in the gravel banks. It was just like being back in Utah. Except with better crust skiing.

This moose didn't make it through the harsh winter.

We should thank the snowmobilers who had been here a week or two ago. Their tracks showed us the route and came in handy when the crust got punchy.

This was a neat ice falls in a side canyon.

We encountered many different types of snow conditions, but most of it was good crust skiing.

I looked on the maps, but couldn't find a name for this glacier.

It took us about 2.5 hours to ski in, and a little over an hour to ski out (plus a side trip to a nearby lake).

It was Easter, so we stopped by bible camp at the end of the ski.
